Greater Bay Area Welcomes Operation of 'Super-Station'

The Baiyun Station in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong Province, dubbed "super-station" in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, opened for service on Dec 26, 2023.

Designed by China Railway Siyuan Survey and Design Group Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Construction Corporation Limited (CRCC), the station is a core complex comprehensive hub integrating a train station and urban transportation as well as urban development in surrounding areas.

The underground of the Baiyun Station is an ultra-large subway station which accommodates six subway lines. The comprehensive traffic service system is expected to improve traffic conditions of the urban area and promote development of neighboring cities while improving city quality.

Operation of the Baiyun Station is expected to promote construction of the international complex hub in Guangzhou and is of great significance in speeding up interconnectivity of the Greater Bay Area and its high-quality development.
