A key technology research and application project of high-power adaptive shearer adapted to minimum mining height of 1.3 meters in coal seam, conducted by China Coal Technology & Engineering Group Shanghai Research Institute, was successfully applied in the Shigetai coal mine of Shendong Coal under CHN Energy Investment Group(China Energy).
The project helped achieve an annual output of 2.6 million tons from coal seams with minimum thickness of 1.3m, setting a new world record. This series of shearers has established China's leading position in terms of thin coal seam shearer technology.
This project pioneered the technologies that meet the requirements of a minimum mining thickness of 1.3m, traction speed of 20m/min, annual output of three million tons, and intelligent structure integration. A high power density rocker arm with two-way circulation lubrication system for gearbox bearings and gears was established, as well as the ability for high precision memory cutting and an adaptive cutting mode that compensates for multi-dimensional positioning. These scientific and technological achievements have reached an advanced level that have gained international recognition. Over the past three years, more than 70 coal seam shearers developed by this project have been promoted and applied in enterprises, showing excellent performance.
