On June 29, Zhang Yuzhuo, Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) of China, met with B. Tsengel, Chairman of Government Agency for Policy Coordination on State Property (PCSP), Mongolia.
Zhang welcomed Tsengel and his delegation on their visit. He said that President Xi Jinping had a successful meeting with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuh last year and they jointly drew up a new blueprint for the development of China-Mongolia relations in the new era. In recent years, state-owned enterprises (SOEs) of the two countries have carried out a series of cooperation in infrastructure, energy and mineral resources, connectivity and other fields, and achieved positive results. SASAC is willing to work with its Mongolian counterpart to implement the important consensuses reached by the two heads of state and to jointly push for deeper and more solid exchanges and cooperation between the two countries in the area of state-owned assets and SOEs. It is hoped that the two sides will strengthen exchanges of experience on SOE reform and development and work together to improve the efficiency of their respective enterprises; that the two sides will promote mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation between the SOEs of the two countries and expand cooperation in the digital economy, artificial intelligence and other fields on the basis of traditional cooperation; and that the two sides will also strengthen cooperation on multilateral platforms, jointly respond to the challenges posed to developing countries by protectionism and unilateralism, and promote SOEs to better benefit the two peoples.
Tsengel spoke highly of the major achievements made in the reform and development of China's state-owned assets and SOEs. He said that in recent years, the in-depth cooperation between Mongolian SOEs and Chinese central SOEs has yielded a series of important outcomes, and SOEs of the two countries shared many similarities in their functions, goals and tasks, noting that China's experience is of significant reference for Mongolia. It is hoped that a regular communication mechanism with SASAC will be established so as to further facilitate mutual learning and experience sharing, expand areas of corporate level cooperation, jointly promote the high-quality development of SOEs of the two countries, and to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results.
Present at the meeting were heads of relevant departments of PCSP and some SOEs of Mongolia. Leading officials of the relevant departments of SASAC, top executives of relevant Chinese central SOEs, and the head of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region's state-owned assets supervision and administration authority also attended the meeting.
