China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) reached agreements with 18 international suppliers at this year's China International Import Expo (CIIE) on Nov 6. So far, the company has signed contracts valued more than $50 billion over the past five years at CIIE.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of CNOOC. Through all these years, the company has become China's largest offshore oil and gas producer and has signed more than 230 contracts with 81 foreign oil companies, attracting over 250 billion yuan (about $35 billion) of foreign investment.
At present, the company has business covering the entire oil and gas industrial chain and has overseas business in more than 40 countries and regions.

On Feb 15 this year, CNOOC signed 13 contracts and strategic agreements with 12 international companies valued at more than $13 billion, which strongly pushed forward high-level international cooperation of the offshore oil industry in the new era.
The company has been focusing on oil development and production, green development and technological innovation.

For example, CNOOC has carried out cooperation with domestic and foreign enterprises on oil refining and chemical engineering, oil exploration and development, and liquefied natural gas fields, etc.
It also highly valued energy conservation and emission reduction, accelerated development of offshore wind power, photovoltaic and hydrogen power, and explored carbon capture utilization and storage technologies.
What's more, the company strengthened development of key technologies and promoted digital transformation, and increased cooperation with other companies in big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
