The first Vietnamese durians have transited Youyiguan Border Port in Pingxiang, South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
It was the first shipment of newly-admitted fruits from a country of Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) imported to China. Vietnam is now the second country to export fresh durian to China after Thailand.

China and Vietnam reached an agreement on plant quarantine requirement for Vietnamese fresh durian on July 11.
According to the agreement, all durian planting areas and packaging facilities related to export of durian to China must register at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China. Establishing a quality management and tracing system is also a must.
China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) has given full play to its global business network and made a tracing plan of the Vietnamese durian export to China, which considers a China-Vietnam bilateral trade condition to provide convenience to development of Vietnam's border trade.
By undertaking the tracing service, CCIC can offer customs officers data references regarding product place of origin and production, and help consumers recognize fake products.
Meanwhile, data collected by CCIC's tracing platform can also help improve the big data network of China's consumption information and product quality supervision, which is expected to become a basic foundation for marketing analysis and supervision of merchants and for the work of government departments.
