A Long March-11 carrier rocket sent two test satellites into selected orbit from a launch platform in the Yellow Sea on Oct 7. It was the first time that the rocket had been launched from a nearshore platform.

Developed by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology, a subsidiary of China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, the Long March-11 carrier rocket can be launched inland and offshore.

The CentiSpace-S5/S6 test satellites carried by the rocket will be mainly used in real-time monitoring of the service performance of the global satellite navigation system and will carry out technology verification experiments on navigation augmentation.
It was the 441st flight mission of the Long March series rockets.
