In East China's Jiangsu Province, the Nanjing plant of Adisseo, Sinochem Holdings Corporation Ltd. (Sinochem Holdings)'s subsidiary, launched a liquid methionine project with an annual output of 180,000 metric tons on Sept 15.
Together with an earlier constructed section, the plant now has a designed annual output of 350,000 tons, and is one of the largest, most advanced and competitive liquid methionine production platforms in the world.
Adisseo is one of the few liquid and solid methionine suppliers in the world with the most advanced vertically integrated liquid methionine production technology. In 2009, the company invested and built China's first liquid methionine plant in Jiangbei New Area in Nanjing.
With the plant becoming operational, expansion of the liquid methionine market in China will be achieved, which is expected to support green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the country's feed food industry and contribute to its food security and green and low-carbon development.
