Workers at the Central Business District (CBD) project in the new administrative capital city in Egypt pose after a successful top-out of the project's landmark tower on Aug 24, 2021. Built by China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), the tower covers an area of more than 260,000 square meters and has two underground stories and 78 stories above ground. The structure height of the tower is 373.2 meters and its peak is 385.8 meters. Upon completion, it will be the highest in Africa. Once operational, the project is expected to drive economic development in affected areas.
