Experts and entrepreneurs on the front line of state-owned asset and enterprise reform exchanged views and shared their experience in the field at a parallel forum of the 4th China Enterprise Forum that was held in Jinan, Shandong Province on Sept 24.
Focused on the undergoing Three-Year Action of state-owned enterprise (SOE) reform, the forum intended to summarize current achievements and push forward the progress of SOE reform.

Leaders from local state-owned asset supervision and administration commissions in Shandong and Shanghai said that since the beginning of the Three-Year Action of SOE Reform, they have solved problems in related systems and mechanisms, which effectively stimulated the high-quality development of the state-owned economy.

Leaders of several central SOEs shared their achievements and experience in SOE reform.
Dai Hegen, chairman of China National Chemical Engineering Group Corporation Ltd (CNCEC), said CNCEC has pushed forward 128 key projects focusing on SOE reform and has completed 85 percent of its plan. He affirmed that reform has brought the company preliminary achievements in high-quality development.
Yan Huafeng, State Grid Electronic Commerce Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of State Grid Corporation of China (State Grid), said the company highly values the four key fields of platform, talent, value and organization and pushed forward reform with innovation, aiming to build highly-efficient management, flexible mechanisms, effective incentives and a vital operation team. He expressed his belief that this kind of operation and management mode could set an example for new business patterns and modes, as well as digital transformation for the State Grid.
Entrepreneurs also discussed issues related to improving SOEs' principal status in the market, optimizing market-oriented mechanisms and systems, promoting self-reliance and self-improvement in science and technology and building world-leading enterprises at the round-table meeting.
