Digital Economy an Opportunity for Enterprise Transformation

How to accelerate digital transformation in traditional industries in the digital economy era was a focus for enterprises and industrial insiders at a parallel forum of the 4th China Enterprise Forum (CEF) held on Sept 23 and 24 in Jinan, Shandong Province.

In response to the new trend of digital transformation, Wang Xingshan, executive president of Inspur Group, China's largest server maker, pointed out that enterprises should improve their overall planning and work on digital technologies and business innovation at the same time.

He also suggested that large-scale enterprises value digital platform construction and encouraged them to set lowering costs and improving efficacy, as well as innovating their business mode, as their main goals for digital transformation and high-quality development.

Zhou Hongyi, founder and chairman of 360 Security Group, said digitalization means that everything is programmable, all things are connected with each other and business is driven by big data.

He explained that with the rapid development of digital industrialization, industrial digitalization is expected to become a main force to boost the digital economy. He also warned that cybersecurity needs to be highly valued.

Also attending the parallel forum were Liu Jiang, chairman and founder of financial service provider CSCC, Xiao Yi, chief executive officer of Taiji Computer Corporation Limited, Hou Zhanbin, founder and general-manager of Jutongda Technology Corporation Limited and Chen Jin, director of the Technology and Innovation Research Center of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University.
