Updated: November 04, 2020

The Pingding 100MW wind power project in Shanxi province, invested and built by China Energy Engineering Group Co., Ltd. (Energy China Group), went into operation on Oct 29, boosting green and sustainable development in the province.

A major project in Shanxi, the project has 40 2.5-megawatt wind power generator units.

With the best mountainous wind farm plan, the project was the quickest built of its kind in China.

The wind farm is expected to produce 200 million kWh of clean power annually, equaling the energy produced by burning 62,700 tons of standard coal and eliminating emissions of 1,336.8 tons of sulfur dioxide, about 2,173.44 tons of oxynitride and 157,200 tons of carbon dioxide.

The annual profits and tax of the wind farm will be 12 million yuan ($1.79 million), which will promote sustainable economic development in the affected area.
