Blue Whale II drilling rig

Blue Whale II, built by China International Marine Containers (Group) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Merchants Group, is an ultra-deep-water double-derrick semi-submersible drilling rig measuring 117m long, 92.7m wide, 118m high, and with the maximal operating depth of 3658m and maximal drilling depth of 15250m. It is a sister platform of Blue Whale I, the platform that completed successfully the great mission of flammable ice drilling trials, both the sister rigs are the world's most advanced ultra-deepwater dual-derrick semi-submersible drilling platforms.
