Tiangong-2 is the second space lab independently developed by China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation after Tiangong-1 and the country's first space lab in the real sense. Tiangong-2 space lab was successfully launched at Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on September 15, 2016 and later had rendezvous and docking with Shenzhou-11 manned spacecraft. In 2017, Tiangong-2 had rendezvous and docking with Tianzhou-1 cargo ship and completed the first inorbit propellant refueling test, making China the third country that independently grasped this key technology.
